Pink Party & Race for the Cure 2014

This weekend was dedicated to our philanthropy, breast cancer – specifically through the Susan G. Komen foundation.  On Friday night we had our Pink Party, where we made decorative pink bows, as well as decorated bras for an event later this fall.  It was great to spend time together and get ready for the following morning.  Early on Saturday we gathered in downtown Scranton to participate in the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.  Together we walked the 5k to show our support for everyone whose life has been affected by breast cancer, whether it be fighters, survivors, those lost, or family and friends.  In addition, we raised $822 to aid research, in the hopes that one day we can find a cure.  Thank you so much to everyone that donated through Zeta Phi Delta’s team.  You given suffering people worldwide the hope that together we can conquer cancer.

“We walk so that little girls will grow up in a world where pink ribbons are for pony tails and prom dresses.”
